My little girl turned 5 earlier this month and req My little girl turned 5 earlier this month and requested a butterfly 🦋 theme birthday party. Our house had accumulated a lot of broken crayons in past few years . Instead of trashing them, we mixed and matched the crayons to create beautiful new coloring sets, using butterfly molds to go with this year’s birthday theme. These crayons made a perfect party favor for little hands and they were a great hit. Here’s list of supplies you’ll need to upcycle ♻️ bits of crayons.
Crayons of all shapes, sizes, and colors
Sharp knife
Silicone baking/candy molds ( I used butterfly shaped molds) Instructions :
1. PreHeat oven to 225℉.
2. Using a sharp knife , remove the wrappers from the crayons.
3. Break the crayons into pieces.
4. Pile broken crayons into each of the silicon baking molds or cupcake tray holders, organizing the colors however you’d like.
5. Fill the molds to the top . As they melt, they will condense.
6. Place the baking tray on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until all of the crayons have melted.
7. If after 15 minutes, all of the crayons have not melted, increase the oven temperature for 5 additional minutes . Make sure the crayons don’t burn .
8. Once melted, carefully remove the tray from the oven and let cool until completely hardened.
9. When the new crayons have hardened, gently remove them from the baking tray.
10. Add them to your favor bags . It’s a great activity to do with your kids during this summer break of course requires a lot of adult assistance. I am linking the silicone butterfly mold on my LTK ( link in my bio ) . If you can’t find the link comment below & I will share the link with you .

Save 📌 this Recipe!! I am one of those people Save 📌 this Recipe!!
I am one of those people who make soup all year long….. regardless of the temperature outside. I know soup is so comforting when it is cold outside, but really there are some soups that even if it is 80 degrees they are still enjoyable.Today I am sharing one of our family favorite soup recipe Veggie Minestrone Soup. I love to pack my soup with whatever veggies I have on hand today I have used carrots, celery, onions & zucchini. I have simmered these veggies marinara sauce & veggie broth for convenience . I have used elbow pasta , you can use your fav pasta . I have packed in the protein with black beans. Topped it up some Parmesan cheese!! What I love the most about this recipe is it’s one pot and comes together in no time if you use canned /jarred ingredients!! Minestrone Soup Recipe :
Add 1/2 tbsp olive oil & 1/2 tbsp butter to a large pot and place over medium high heat. Add in 2 bay leaves , 1/3 cup diced onion, 4-5 sliced garlic , 2 celery sticks , 1/2 cup diced carrots and 1/2 cup diced zucchini. Sauté for 3-5 minutes or until onions soften.
Next add in 1 can of tomatoes or 1 1/4 cup marinara sauce @raoshomemade , 1 cup canned black beans or kidney beans , 1.5 cup vegetable broth @betterthanbouillon , 1 tsp Italian seasoning, 1/2 cup elbow pasta @barillaus , salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium low for 10-15 minutes or until pasta is al dente and veggies are tender.
Pour into a bowl and serve with parmesan cheese or cheddar cheese on top. I like to serve mine with ghee toasted sourdough bread.

Finally sharing the most requested recipe from my Finally sharing the most requested recipe from my stories Marzorin Chicken Sandwich 🥪 (iykyk ) just in time for this Mother’s Day. Send this recipe to your husband and kids so they can make these for you this Mother’s Day. Make these and thank me later .
Instructions
How to make Shredded Chicken
1 .5 cup low sodium veggie broth or chicken broth
8 chicken tenders
1 star anise
1 bay leaf
1 stick cinnamon
2 cloves
3 green cardamom
1 pinch of salt
Place all the above ingredients in Instant Pot
Cover and set the pressure cooker lid valve to sealing. Pressure cook on high for 8 minutes, followed by a 5 minute natural release, followed by a quick release , make sure to flip the valve to venting to release whatever pressure remains.
Remove the lid , transfer the chicken to a kitchen aid and shred it or use two forks to shred the chicken. Save the chicken broth to add it to your soups or to flavor the rice . How to make the sandwich filling
In a bowl add shredded chicken, along with 1/2 cup shredded cabbage & 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers (optional but I love to sneak in veggies ) , 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/3 cup heavy cream , 2 tbsp powdered sugar, pepper and salt as per taste . Mix all the ingredients to combine well . Assembling the sandwich :
Butter each slice of bread all the way to the edges with salted butter.
Spread the chicken filling evenly over each slice of bread, top with another slice of bread then cut as desired. I have used a pair or kitchen scissors as I used soft bread instead of thick sandwich bread . You can use a serrated bread knife for cutting the sandwiches.
