Tomato soup is our weekly staple as it packs tons of flavors in each spoonful. I like to have it on its own but my family loves it with some grilled cheese or pulao. This tomato soup recipe is a keeper because it comes together in no time and only uses a handful ingredients readily available in any pantry. Good quality whole tomatoes and bit of beetroot & potato adds a deep rich creamy flavor base to this soup. I have made this tomato soup recipe in the pressure cooker. Alternatively you can use Instant Pot which gives this soup…

Pav bhaji is a very popular Indian street food. Its nothing but a mash of veggies spiced with pav bhaaji masala, butter, garnished with tons of onions, cilantro & served with roasted buttery dinner rolls. The main two ingredients which make pav bhaji delicious are potatoes & butter but both these ingredients are high in carbs & saturated fats. I can quite literally have mushrooms at any point of the day and in any form. I love stuffed mushrooms but somehow don’t have them quite often. I offered to help my sister clean her house over the weekend and as we were cleaning the refrigerator and found a box of Ricotta cheese and mushrooms staring wide at me. I love colours on my plate. If you have noticed mostly the colour of the garnishing on savoury items is always green in colour. I generally garnish my food with a generous amount of cilantro, basil or parsley. I was clearing my fridge and coincidently had only a few greens left on the rack which led me to come up with this green pulav recipe. I have more or less used the same recipe as the traditional vegetable pulav but added green veggies too. So without further ado let’s cook this one pot meal.

I am following low carbs high fat diet since 14 days and have lost 7 pounds by eating more fats, moderate protein and low carbs. I cannot keep on eating stir fry, eggs, fish all the time. I needed chicken, so I came up with this zesty lemon pepper chicken recipe. I used halal chicken tights as they are high in fats which suited my dietary requirements. You…

Vangyache bharit is an extremely popular Maharashtrian recipe cooked using fire roasted eggplant/ aubergine. Basically I would say, it is an Indian equivalent of baba ganoush made using slight different ingredients but gives the same appearance. There are many variations to this recipe but my personal favorite is the one made using yogurt. This recipe is quite simple and effortless. Makes an amazing side dish, I love to have it as a salad or along with phulkas (Indian flat bread). You can also serve this as a dip along with some garlic bread or pita. I have roasted the eggplant…
